It would be great if when searching for an account or contact etc the app had a "did you mean..." section much like Google does for its searches;

Search: United Stats of America
Google asks Did you mean: United States of America?

This would especially help with searches that return ZERO results.

When using the SF plug in for outlook when you click send and add to add an email to the system we only have the capability to add to one person. There are many instances where we send to multiple people within the same company, or to an investment banker at one company and a contact at the other. When sending these types of emails we can only add to one of those contacts at a time, and would have to go back to our sent items and click send and add again. Is there a way that the system can be modified so that we can select multiple records to add that email to? There are instances where these emails may be addressed to 5-10 people and its very time consuming to keep going back and adding.

By cutting off the second half of the date range it's not immediately clear what is being reported - a week's total.

Dashboards that aren't immediately clear defeat the point of the dashboard - a quick, useful picture of what's going on, intelligible even to people not very familiar to the system (think management that doesn't log in ofen).

Thanks for adding the new feature wherein user can add description to an Attachment in Spring 10 release; however the current user experience is undesirable, because user first has to add the attachment and then edit the related list to add the description.

Please add the Description field to “Attach File" Screen, so that user can upload the attachment and add description at the same time.

There are times when it would be ideal to show different fields or sections on a page based on field data. For example, if a field for "software interest" is selected on a lead page, it would be nice if a section and/or fields related to capturing more information on "Software" is displayed. If the field is not selected, then this section and/or fields remain hidden. Allowing greater customization on the page level based on data rules would make for more manageable and targeted page layouts.

It would be great if the SortOrder field on the OpportunityLineItem object was Creatable and Updatable. The ability to control this field when developing applications that work with this object would be extremely useful and improve the quality of the applications.

Several of my users have deleted the list view when trying to mass delete objects by selecting several checkboxes and the using the delete link. :( a) Please add a new delete button to add the possibility to mass delete objects. b) Could the Create new view | edit | delete | refresh section be aligned to the right instead? Or... c) Instead of having all the links above perhaps they could be hidden below one link simply called Add/edit view I would prefer alternetive c) Thanks for a good product!

I would like to propose that on the REPORTS page, that an ICON be added beside the report names to indicate if the report is used by a Dashboard graph.

To reduce scrolling and keep the contacts page as compact as possible it would be nice to have 3 columns (or even more) to display in the page layout. We use check boxes quite a bit and they could easily be displayed in more than 2 columns to save space.

We would like to have the ability to work directly out of Outlook while on an Airplane, in a restaurant, etc offline and once online have an automated syncronization without having to go through each individual email.
We have also seen some issues with COntact duplicates being created with Connect for Outlook.

We currently have a tool in which we pay a cost ,for some of our users for this functionality however it would be great to see this in Connect for Outlook and supported by Salesforce without going through a 3rd party.
We are able to send and sync emails, create Accounts, Contacts, Lead, etc. without any issues directly from Outlook while offline and an automated sync once online.

Our sales reps have meetings where they could literally speak to thirty contacts or have tasks where they could involve 30 contacts. We too, want to track that activity. We want our reps to get credit for all thirty of those talks but we all know our sales people, they don’t want to take 20 to thirty minutes to log the same activity 30 different times. Having the ability to clone activities, tasks and events, and change the contact would be a huge improvement. The best solution would be the ability to add contacts in the same fashion you can add contact roles to an opportunity. This would mean that when running a report for the rep for their activity on the account this activity would show 30 times, once for each contact. The history would also show on the contact record. I cannot tell you how much easier this would make our reps lives!

A Mark Complete button on tasks whenever they appear would save 1) clicking edit, 2) clicking the status drop-down, 3) clicking Complete, 4) clicking Save

I know that you can click the X if you go to your tasks on the home page, but the ability to Mark Complete should be easily accessible any time a task is on the screen.

I would like to submit a real 'advanced search' request. The current advanced search is not advanced at all. It only provides a single field that searches throughout every field. The only advanced option is that you can select in which information you search (e.g. cases). In general, this results in far too many records.

I would like to see an option where you can search in any combination of fields. So if I want to search for something in a case, I want to be able to search in the case subject and/or description and/or status and/or account and/or etc. etc. This should of course also be possible for all information (accounts, contacts etc).

We used AccPac before SalesForse. That system had an advanced search screen for each entity, and you were also able to customize the thix screen. It also allowed you to save your search criteria for re-use.

I now created a 'Search cases' report as a workaround, because that allows me to specify very advanced filters. The 'bad' thing with this is that you have to run the report and then edit the filter. It would be great if the advanced filter options from reports could be added to the advanced search screen.

It would be excellent if administrators could login as any user role and profile combination to test out settings directly in the production environment.

This is similar to the functionality currently available where one can login as a user however
1. You wouldn't need to get the user to grant you access
2. You could test out role and profile combinations not yet assigned to a user

This would be extremely useful for verifying that users have visibility and functionality that they require BEFORE they complain that they don't have it.

Do not hard code the Object (see above image) when creating Workflow Field Updates. Allow administrators to choose a field to pass based on a relationship (lookup or master detail). For example, a Workflow Rule based on Case would be allowed to have a Workflow Field Update change a Contact field for the Contact record associated with the Case.

We have many people around the world that don't type in the correct country and state name. How can we get these to be pick lists?

It would be very helpful to be able to mark Contacts or Accounts as InActive and then have those Objects no longer show up in Picklists (aka: Lookup Fields).

It would be fantastic if we could create our own custom "Universal Picklists", like the Industry picklist that is synchronized between Leads and Accounts. It would greatly streamline administration and data quality management, especially for organizations with extensive customizations of Salesforce.com.

It would also be great if you could extend the standard field picklists like Industry or Lead Source to custom objects, to preserve the synchronized picklist values from the standard objects on the custom objects as well for data consistency.

I would like to have multiple email addresses associated with a contact.

A lot of times, the same contact uses different email addresses while logging a case and we have to manually merge all the contact info together. If its possible to assign multiple email addresses to a contact, and have the email2case automatically pick up the info when emails are sent from any of the email addresses, it'll be really helpful.

Spring '10 subtle but nice add is the "Description" field for Notes and Attachments. To really make this "at a glance" easy, we should be able to add that Description field to related list for Notes and Attachments. Need this now more than ever.
